A TRANSCRIPTOMIC REFERENCE DATABASE FOR KRILL SPECIES

Introduction

The idea of creating this database dedicated to euphausiids gradually developed due to the increasing amounts of data collected during different campaigns. The aim is not to build a new database on the emblematic species of the taxon, Euphausia superba, but to offer the scientific community a broader transcriptomic resource that will support the development of new studies on less well-known species or studies employing a comparative approach.
The intention is to develop the database continually as the transcriptomes of new species are sequenced and thus provide an up-to-date reference dedicated to the diversity of euphausiids.
