Introduction
The idea of creating this database dedicated to euphausiids gradually developed due to the
increasing amounts of data collected during different campaigns. The aim is not to build a
new database on the emblematic species of the taxon, Euphausia superba, but to offer the
scientific community a broader transcriptomic resource that will support the development of
new studies on less well-known species or studies employing a comparative approach.
The intention is to develop the database continually as the transcriptomes of new species
are sequenced and thus provide an up-to-date reference dedicated to the diversity
of euphausiids.
The database has the following record counts
